What this is
This is the Payouts tab under the Payments module in the merchant dashboard (page title “Payouts”, subtitle “Track payout status and history”). Reached by clicking Overview in the left nav under Payments, then switching to the Payouts tab at the top. Here you can view every payout on your account, filter by status/currency/date, view a single payout’s amount, fees, and processing timeline, and directly send a payout, set up an automatic payout schedule, and manage receiving bank accounts from the top right of the page. Use this page to check payout progress, move balance to your bank, or manage payout accounts and schedules.Steps
Open the payout list:- In the left nav, go to Payments → Overview.
- Switch to the Payouts tab at the top (siblings: Overview, Activity, Rolling reserve).

Fields and statuses
List columns:
Top summary bar:
Payout status (list):
Payout status (detail panel, more granular): the detail panel status may be further broken down into Initiated, Processing, Succeeded, Cancelled, Failed, Failed Refund, Reversal Succeeded, Reversal Initiated, and Reversal Processing (a reversal is when funds are returned via the original route).
Payout detail fields: Payout amount, Status, Payout ID, Payout completed (time), Statement descriptor, Internal note; Payment Amount area: Payout amount, Fee, Total amount; Account Details area: Bank account (account number shown as **** + last 4 digits), Created time, Country, SWIFT code / BIC; plus a Timeline (the time of each processing step).
“Pay out funds” dialog fields:
Receiving bank account status (shown under Manage bank accounts): internal accounts show Active; external accounts show a review status of Valid / Invalid / Pending.
Edge cases and troubleshooting
- List shows “No payouts yet”: there are no payouts on the account yet; the hint reads “Payouts will appear here once activity begins.”
- Filtered list shows “No payouts match your filters”: nothing matches the current filters, with the hint “Try adjusting your filter criteria.” — click Clear filters and try again.
- The summary bar doesn’t show “Total amount”: it only appears when the currency filter is narrowed to a single currency; it’s hidden when multiple currencies or no currency filter is applied.
- You don’t see the “Payout funds” or “Manage payout” buttons: both actions require the relevant permission; if you don’t have it, the buttons are hidden — ask an admin to assign the permission.
- You can’t select a currency when sending a payout, or see “no currencies available to pay out”: the account doesn’t yet have a balance in any currency; you can pay out only after receiving a settlement.
- Submitting a payout amount errors with “insufficient balance” or exceeds a limit: the amount you entered exceeds the available balance for that currency — reduce the amount and try again.
- You can’t type more characters into the statement descriptor: it’s capped at 15 characters.
- How long a payout takes to arrive: internal UQPay Banking accounts arrive instantly; external bank accounts typically take 1-3 business days.
- You don’t see a “Cancel payout” button: only payouts with status Pending or Processing can be cancelled; payouts that have already succeeded, failed, or been cancelled can’t be cancelled again.
- You set the payout schedule to “Manual”: once switched to manual, you’ll no longer be able to see which transactions are bundled into a given payout.
- The exported report isn’t on the current page: reports generate asynchronously — once generation starts, download it from the Reports page; it isn’t downloaded directly from the Payouts page.
Common questions (Q&A)
- Q: Where do I see my payout records? / How do I check my payouts? A: Left nav Payments → Overview, then switch to the Payouts tab at the top — the list is every payout on your account, filterable by status/currency/date.
- Q: How do I send a payout / move my balance to the bank? A: Click Payout funds in the top right of the Payouts page, choose a currency, enter the payout amount, choose a receiving bank account, review the fee, then click Submit.
- Q: How long does a payout take to arrive? A: Instantly for internal UQPay Banking accounts, typically 1-3 business days for external bank accounts.
- Q: Is there a fee for payouts? How much? A: Yes — the fee is charged as a percentage of the payout amount and deducted from your UQPay balance; the exact rate and amount are shown in the “Pay out funds” dialog.
- Q: How do I cancel a payout? A: Open that payout’s Payout details; if the status is Pending or Processing, click Cancel payout and confirm — payouts that already succeeded, failed, or were cancelled can’t be cancelled again.
- Q: What statuses can a payout have? A: In the list: Pending, Processing, Succeeded, Failed. In the detail panel it may be broken down further into Initiated, Cancelled, Failed Refund, Reversal Succeeded/Initiated/Processing, and similar.
- Q: What does the “In transit” status mean? A: In the summary bar, “In transit” is the count of payouts that are currently processing and not yet complete.
- Q: What does “reversal” mean? A: A reversal is when payout funds are returned via the original route; the detail status shows Reversal Succeeded / Reversal Initiated / Reversal Processing.
- Q: Why doesn’t the summary bar show “Total amount”? A: It’s only shown when the currency filter is narrowed to a single currency; it’s hidden for multiple currencies or no currency filter.
- Q: How do I export my payout records? A: Click Export in the toolbar to generate a reconciliation report (asynchronous, download from the Reports page); or check multiple rows and click Export selected to download a CSV directly (up to 100 rows at a time).
- Q: How do I set up automatic payouts? A: In the Payouts page, click Manage payout in the top right → Manage payout schedule, choose Automatic and set a default receiving account per currency; you can also switch to Manual.
- Q: How do I add or remove a bank account for payouts? A: Click Manage payout in the top right → Manage bank accounts, and add, edit, or delete receiving bank accounts there.
- Q: I can’t find the currency I want to pay out? A: You can only pay out currencies with a balance; if it says “no currencies available to pay out”, your account hasn’t received a settlement in that currency yet.
- Q: What’s the statement descriptor for, and do I need to fill it in? A: It’s the label shown on your bank statement so you can recognize it as a UQPay payout, up to 15 characters.
- Q: Exactly what stage is this payout at right now / when will it arrive? A: That’s the real-time progress of an individual payout — rely on the status and timeline in the Payout details panel; this material doesn’t provide conclusions for specific cases.
