Global account

A global account provides bank details for receiving supported currencies through international payment networks such as SWIFT. The available issuing countries and currencies depend on your account configuration.

Local account

A local account provides bank details for receiving a supported currency through domestic payment networks. For example, SGD local bank details can support networks such as FAST, GIRO, MEPS, or PayNow, depending on the returned account capability. For API applications, payment_method = LOCAL represents domestic receiving and payment_method = SWIFT represents SWIFT receiving. Availability varies by country and currency; use the supported-combination selector rather than assuming a method is available.

Balance

Incoming funds are reflected in the balance of the account that owns the Virtual Account:
  • The master-account balance view includes the master account and its sub-accounts.
  • A sub-account balance view contains that sub-account’s balance.
After active bank details are available, see COBO and POBO for collection and payment-on-behalf-of models.

Supported regions and currencies
