# Stocks withdrawal addresses

> Understand Stocks withdrawal address requirements and how to create an address.

Stocks withdrawals require a whitelist address (`address_kind=whitelist`) with no bound currency (an empty `currency`). The address must be active and verified, and its network must support the stock asset to be withdrawn.

Addresses bound to USDC, USDT, or any other currency cannot be used for Stocks withdrawals.

## Address types

`address_type` identifies the recipient type: `1000` for an exchange or `2000` for a personal wallet. Both address types must meet the conditions above.

## Response field values

In the [List Address Book](https://developers.uqpay.com/stablecoin-account/v1.6/api-reference/list-address-book.md) response, an empty string (`""`) for `currency` means no currency is bound, `address_status=1` means active, and `verification_status=1` means verified.

## Create an address

[Create Address Book](https://developers.uqpay.com/stablecoin-account/v1.6/api-reference/create-address-book.md) accepts an optional `currency`. To create a Stocks withdrawal address, omit `currency` and set `is_whitelist=1`. The address must also meet the active, verified, and network support requirements above.
