# Currency Triangulation

> How UQPAY converts certain currencies indirectly through intermediary currencies such as USD, SGD, or EUR.

Currency triangulation involves converting one currency to another via a third (and sometimes a fourth) currency. For example, EUR to MXN routes through USD as an intermediary step.

## Impact of holidays

Timeline delays can occur when conversions involve currencies affected by holidays. When a triangulated pair uses USD and the conversion coincides with a US holiday, the process shifts forward by one business day.

## Triangulated currency pairs

UQPAY converts certain currencies indirectly through intermediary currencies rather than directly.
