# Why the System Reports Incorrect Verification Code

> Common reasons for MFA verification code errors and how to resolve them.

Possible reasons for an incorrect verification code error include:

1. **Verification code is wrong.** If the code is correct, confirm that the code has not expired.
2. **Verification code does not match current login account.** If you have multiple accounts bound to MFA, confirm whether the code matches the login account.
3. **There is a time difference between your phone and UQPAY server.** Confirm whether your MFA app or your phone has the correct local time, date, and time zone set.
