# Rolling Reserve (Acquiring)

> The merchant dashboard Payment > Overview > Rolling Reserve tab — view withheld reserve amounts, pending and released amounts, and filter/export individual reserve entries by currency/date/status.

## What this is

This is the **Rolling Reserve** page under the **Payment** product in the merchant dashboard: from the left-hand **Payment** menu, click **Overview** to open the acquiring overview panel, then click **Rolling Reserve** on that panel to reach this page (page title "Rolling Reserve"; the top has Overview, Activity, Payouts, and Rolling Reserve tabs to switch between). This page lets you view the total amount currently reserved, the pending-release and released amounts, and browse the reserve entry for each transaction (frozen amount, frozen date, release date, status), with filtering by currency, date range, and status, plus export. Use this page to check how much of your money is withheld and when it will be released.

## Steps

Open Rolling Reserve:

1. Under **Payment** in the left nav, click **Overview** to open the acquiring overview panel.
2. Click **Rolling Reserve** on that panel to reach this page (the top of the page also has Overview, Activity, Payouts, and Rolling Reserve tabs, currently on **Rolling Reserve**).
3. The top of the page shows the reserve summary cards for the selected currency, with the entry-by-entry list below.

Switch currency and filter:

1. Use the **Currency** dropdown in the toolbar to switch currencies — the summary and list update accordingly (the first currency is shown by default).
2. **Frozen date** filters by the date range the reserve was withheld; **Release date** filters by the scheduled/actual release date range.
3. **Status** filter: click to check one or more reserve statuses (see table below), multi-select supported.
4. **Search**: search by Reserve ID or order number.
5. Active filters appear as tags below the toolbar; click the "x" on a tag to remove it, or click **Clear all** to clear every filter.

Export entries:

1. Check the entries you want to export in the list (checkbox on the left of each row, up to 100 at a time).
2. Once checked, a bulk-action bar appears at the bottom; click **Export selected** to export the chosen entries as a file, or click **Clear** to deselect.

## Edge cases and troubleshooting

* **List shows "No rolling reserve records"**: there are no reserve records yet for this currency; the hint reads "Records will appear here once reserves are created."
* **"No records match your filters"**: the current currency/date/status filter has no matches; click **Clear filters** or **Clear all** below the toolbar and try again.
* **You see a yellow banner**: it indicates there are **Withheld** reserve entries — no action needed from you.
* **You only want entries frozen/released in a certain period**: use **Frozen date** to filter by when funds were withheld, and **Release date** to filter by release timing — the two can be set independently.
* **Up to 100 entries can be selected for export at a time**: selecting beyond the cap shows a message that the limit has been reached; select and export in batches if you need more.
* **The list changed after switching currency**: the summary and records are tracked separately per currency; switching the **Currency** dropdown switches to that currency's data.

## Common questions (Q\&A)

* **Q: What is rolling reserve? Where do I see it?** A: It's a portion of funds withheld from your acquiring transactions and automatically released back to your available balance after a set cycle; view the current withheld, pending-release, and released amounts under **Payment > Overview > Rolling Reserve**.
* **Q: How much of my money is withheld? Where do I see it?** A: Click **Overview** under **Payment** in the left nav to open the overview panel, then click **Rolling Reserve** to reach this page — the **Total Reserved** card at the top shows the current total withheld in that currency, and **Pending Release** shows the amount about to be released.
* **Q: When will my reserve be released / how do I check the release date?** A: Every entry in the list has a **Release date** column showing when that reserve is scheduled to be released; **Pending Release** at the top is the total scheduled amount.
* **Q: What does status "Withheld" mean?** A: It means that reserve entry is currently withheld — no action is needed from you.
* **Q: What's the difference between "Pending" and "Released"?** A: Pending means the reserve is withheld and hasn't reached its release time yet; Released means it has already been returned to available balance.
* **Q: How do I filter reserve records by status or date?** A: Use **Status** for multi-select filtering, **Frozen date** / **Release date** for time-range filtering, and **Search** to find by Reserve ID or order number.
* **Q: How do I export reserve records?** A: Check the entries you want in the list (up to 100 at a time), then click **Export selected** on the bulk-action bar at the bottom.
* **Q: Why did all the data change after I switched currency?** A: Reserve data is tracked separately per currency — the top cards and the list both reflect the currently selected currency; switch the **Currency** dropdown to view another one.
* **Q: Can I view reserves for multiple currencies at once?** A: No, the page shows one currency at a time — use the **Currency** dropdown in the toolbar to switch between them.
* **Q: What do "Channel Held / Channel Released / Channel Deducted" mean?** A: These reflect the channel side's own processing status for that reserve entry — held, released, or deducted, respectively; the entry's listed status is authoritative.
